Greatly respected in Tibet and throughout the world, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991) was one of the greatest poets, scholars, philosophers and meditation masters of all 20th-century Tibetan Buddhist traditions. He received teachings and transmissions from over fifty lamas and engaged in solitary practice for 22 years. Afterwards, he worked tirelessly to pass on these teachings, both in India and the Himalayan region and in the West and south-east Asia.
